About Us
At Upcycled Woodcrafts, we’re a veteran-owned business focused on one thing: quality craftsmanship built to last. We’re based in Chester, Vermont, and we take pride in turning scrap wood into functional, high-quality pieces you can count on.

The idea behind Upcycled Woodcrafts started with Joe Chabot, a guy who saw potential in what others overlooked. Joe got the idea when he started collecting scrap wood from a local mill, realizing there was more value in those pieces than most people gave credit for. What began as a side project quickly grew into a full-blown dream—one that took years to make a reality.

In 2025, after plenty of hard work and dedication, Joe finally took the leap to start his own business. With some help from his wife and his buddy Zak, the late nights, trial runs, and some serious elbow grease paid off. Joe was able to get his hands on the tools needed to make it happen.

We’re not into gimmicks or shortcuts. Every piece we make is built to last, made from repurposed materials, and finished with the kind of attention to detail that’ll have it standing the test of time. We’ve learned along the way that the best things come from putting in the work, and we’re proud of every piece that leaves our shop.
